# Settings

Settings groups everything that is about you, this device or your organization, rather than about one smart account.

**Where:** **Account** menu → **Settings**, or click the **This device** badge in the top bar

## How to open Settings

* Open the **Account** menu (top right) and choose **Settings**.
* Or click the **This device** badge. It opens straight to Settings → Networks.

Use the **Back** button at the top of Settings to return to where you were.

## The three groups

| Group            | Items                                                                                                                                                                                           | Needs                                       |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| **You**          | [Profile, Notifications, Privacy](/platform-guide/settings/profile-notifications-privacy.md)                                                                                                    | Sign in                                     |
| **Workspace**    | [Networks](/platform-guide/settings/networks.md), [Backup](/platform-guide/settings/backup.md). Badge: **This device**                                                                          | Nothing                                     |
| **Organization** | Billing, Create organization. With an organization: General, Members & Roles, Member addresses, Billing. See [Organizations and billing](/platform-guide/settings/organizations-and-billing.md) | Sign in, and an organization for most items |

Signed out, the You and Organization items show a lock and a **Sign in** button with a one-line reason, for example "Sign in to manage your profile and security." or "Plans and billing belong to an organization. Sign in to create or join one." Sign in if you have early access; otherwise join the waitlist from the same dialog. The Free path needs no account and is open to everyone. See [Free, sign-in and organizations](/introduction/free-sign-in-organizations.md).

## Theme

**Theme** (Light, Dark, System) is not in Settings. It lives in the **Account** menu next to Settings and Sign in.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.bloxchain.app/platform-guide/settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
