# Custom networks

**App path:** `/settings/networks` · wallet chain in contract tab

**Time:** \~5 min

## Add or edit custom networks

1. Open **`/settings/networks`** (account menu → **Settings** → **Networks**).
2. Add chain name, chain ID, and RPC URL for networks not in your wallet by default.
3. Save — custom networks apply across your personal workspace.

## Align wallet with a contract tab

1. Open the contract tab (`/dapps/:id`).
2. Note the **expected network** in the header or mismatch banner.
3. In your wallet extension, switch to that chain.
4. Refresh or reconnect if the warning persists.

## Verify it worked

* Mismatch banner clears.
* **Workspace → My access** and **Transactions** load without RPC errors.

## Common issues

* **Network not in wallet** — add the chain manually or via `/settings/networks` ([Networks & deployments](/resources/glossary.md#networks)).
* **App on wrong network** — re-import with correct network if the contract was deployed elsewhere.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.bloxchain.app/platform-bloxchain.app/account/networks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
